Pulakesh Mandal

Self-taught artist Pulakesh Mandal was born in 1972 in West Bengal. He has participated 54th group shows and two solo shows. His exhibition has been held at Chemould art Gallery, Academy of fine arts and Birla Academy of art & culture, Kolkata, Tansen Okakura gallery, Japan foundation, Visual art gallery, AIFACS Gallery New Delhi, lalit kala akademi New Delhi, and gallery one Gurgaon and many other places in different parts of the country and abroad. He is interested to tell the story through his painting with many mythical elements. His paintings breach a psychological realm where the strokes, colours and composition speak for itself, without losing a poetic quality. Recently his work was exhibited at Vienna in Austria. And his work selected 2014-15 national exhibition south central zone Nagpur. He lives and works in New Delhi.
