Meghansh Thapa

Meghansh Thapa is a Delhi based artist (painter and sculptor) and has delves in voice modulation and dubbing.Meghansh has largely been involved with figurative work, since the beginning of his career. His early works in the 1990s were in water, acrylic and oil and generated their own inner mythological stories. Human and animal forms easily co-existed, almost co-habited in lush frames of foliage. Village stories, forest stories, stories of animal twins born of human mothers… all these abounded. There is profuse colour with layers of transparency and a great degree of detail all across the canvas. Meghansh’s newest work almost brings medieval heraldic tapestry to mind. He continues to work with his favourite subjects of mystics, lovers, kings, gods and goddesses but imbues them with a never before sense of enhanced finesse, strength, depth and subtlety. All the new compositions seethe with their own rich sense of visual mythology – painterly, yet very graphic.
