Loknath Pradhan

Experimentation leads to the birth of a creative entrepreneur and Lokanath Pradhan substantiates this as true. While experimenting with new materials, he has developed his own print making style particularly with wood cuts. With the exception of this, his series of original paintings is centered on calamities and disasters that are both natural and manmade; and these works are mostly created using found material. His recent works depict a dreamlike vision of reality which is an attempt to push the boundaries of contemporary art, with colorful and enchanting imagery. Artist`s keen observation and level-headedness is evidential in his flamboyant works. On closer inspection his artworks highlight the actual reality in a satiric way.
